Where is Nuwara Eliya?

• By Car: The journey from Colombo takes around 4.5 to 5.5 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.

• By Train: There is no railway station in Nuwara Eliya itself. Visitors travel on the famous Kandy to Ella railway line, getting off at Nanu Oya Railway Station, which is approximately 9 kilometres from the town centre. From there, taxis and tuk-tuks provide a short 20-minute journey into Nuwara Eliya.
